About Us
Bagha Union Development Organisation is a non-profit community organisation, established by the Bagha Union expatriate community in the United Kingdom in March 2012. Our mission is to support the underprivileged in Bagha Union, Golapganj Upazila, Sylhet, Bangladesh, while strengthening unity and cultural identity within our community in the UK.
Over the years, we have dedicated ourselves to serving humanity by:
Supporting education through scholarships, books, and skill development programs.
Providing healthcare assistance, including free eye operations, medical aid, and health camps.
Fighting poverty with social welfare initiatives, food distribution during Ramadan, and disaster relief during floods and other natural calamities.
Empowering unemployed youth with training opportunities in computer skills, sewing, plumbing, electrical work, and religious teacher training.
Preserving Bangladeshi culture and heritage for the younger generation abroad through community activities and awareness programs.
Looking forward, we are working on an ambitious project to establish a Technical Training & Community Center in Bagha Union. This center will provide free skill training, a community library, and educational resources for both students and madrasa teachers. To sustain this project, we are planning to build a convention center, and we are seeking generous donations from well-wishers worldwide. Every contribution to this project will be considered Sadaqah Jariyah, bringing lasting benefit to society and eternal reward in the Hereafter.
